1. Decide how visible your partner should be
There are two healthy models, and we support both. In the invisible model, we never speak to your client: you relay questions, we prepare answers and reports, and everything goes out under your name. In the embedded model, we join calls as part of your team, introduced as your SEO specialists, while you keep ownership of the account and billing.
The invisible model gives you the most control. The embedded model saves you time on technical conversations. Many agencies start invisible and move to embedded for larger accounts. You choose per client, and you can change your mind.
2. Price retainers with room for margin
Our plans are wholesale: AUD 300, 500 or 700 per month. Agencies typically set their retail price based on their market positioning, the client's size and the account management time they'll spend. Whatever you charge, budget for your own time — client meetings, approvals and strategy conversations are still your work, and they're what clients value most.
Avoid selling SEO as a one-off project. Rankings are built over months, and clients who leave after one month rarely see results. That's why we recommend committing to at least three months with each client, even though our plans have no minimum term.
Tip: sell the outcome the client cares about — enquiries, bookings, sales — and use rankings as a progress indicator, not the headline promise.
3. Win pitches with free audits and proposals
Before you sign a client, send us their website. We write the audit and the proposal under your agency's name and logo, at no cost. The audit is based on a real crawl of the site and real search data, so you walk into the pitch knowing the client's actual problems — slow pages, missing service pages, indexing issues or weak local signals.
We also tell you when SEO isn't the right answer. If the site needs rebuilding first, or the niche has too little search demand, we'll say so. A proposal you can't deliver on is worse than no proposal.
4. Keep reporting simple enough to forward
Clients don't read twenty-page reports. Our branded monthly report leads with a short summary: what we did, what moved, what's next. Supporting data — keyword positions, organic clicks, technical fixes, articles published, links built — follows for anyone who wants detail. You can forward it as-is or pull the numbers into your own report template.
- Summary of work completed and results in plain English
- Keyword positions and organic traffic trends from Search Console and GA4
- List of technical fixes and content published
- Links and mentions acquired
- Next month's plan for your approval
5. Platform doesn't matter — process does
Agency clients come with every kind of website. We work on WordPress, WooCommerce, Shopify, Webflow, Wix, Squarespace, Magento and custom builds. Where the platform limits what's possible — for example, URL structure on some hosted builders — we flag it early so you can set expectations with the client.
When a client needs a rebuild or new pages, our developers can take it on as white label web development, billed hourly with the rate provided on request. See our website development services for the kinds of builds we handle.
6. Protect the client relationship
Confidentiality is the foundation of white label work. We don't publish your clients in our portfolio, don't approach them directly, and don't use their data for anything except their campaign. Access to client accounts is limited to the team members working on them, and we're happy to sign your NDA or partner agreement.
If you ever end the partnership, you keep everything: content, reports, account access and the work history. No lock-in: plans run month to month.
